A sympathetic restoration and transformation of this classic 1930s Beautility Cocktail Cabinet.
A commission completed for a lovely customer who brought this cocktail cabinet to my workshop for a makeover. The brief was a nod to the art deco era, with a pop of colour and sophistication, whilst allowing the beautiful woodgrain to shine.
I presented a few design options to my customer and she chose this! We worked with colours that suited my clients home. Elderberry was chosen, alongside gold for the detail work.
For the middle interior compartment, I added an art deco 'fan' motif in gold associated with the roaring '20s love for glitz and performance. A perfect backdrop whilst preparing cocktails.
New peacock brass handles added. New Mirrors and lights added, it is a cocktail cabinet after all.
Although dated and in need of restoration, this was always a beautiful piece of furniture. Now it has been transformed with a stylish modern edge, echoing art deco goddess vibes!
