Need a little help getting started or moving forward with your furniture project?
I completely understand the challenges and frustrations that can come with furniture upcycling. With years of experience restoring and redesigning furniture, I’m here to answer your burning questions and guide you every step of the way so you can move forward with confidence and enthusiasm!
Join me for a full day private workshop where you’ll receive hands-on support and personalised guidance.
What to Bring
The piece of furniture you’re working on. If you don’t have a piece yet, I can provide a small piece free of charge.
Any extra items you would like to use, eg replacement knobs/handles (optional)
If you would like to decoupage and have a specific print or wallpaper in mind, then please bring this with you. (I have plenty in my workshop).
What’s Included
All paints, stencils, decoupage materials, tools, and protective gear (masks, goggles) will be provided.
The Plan
Together, we’ll:
Assess your furniture for repairs or damage
Collaborate on a design plan, exploring colours and patterns you want to introduce
Create your own mini moodboard to inspire the look and feel of your piece
Get to work cleaning, prepping, and stripping any old finish
I’ll share tips and tricks along the way to help you avoid common pitfalls and achieve professional-quality results saving you time, effort, and frustration.
If you want a modern, flawless paint finish, I’ll show you exactly how to apply paint for a smooth, lasting result, avoiding all the usual signs of rushed or sloppy upcycling. Together, we’ll create a finish you’ll be proud to show off.
Design Insights & Extras
You’ll learn how to read your furniture and develop designs that truly wow, including my thought process, colour theory and more. Interested in furniture photography or apps I use? I’m happy to share!
We’ll also explore additional design techniques like stenciling (without bleed!) and creating raised, textured stencil effects using plaster perfect for adding that unique 3D detail.
Practical Info
Refreshments and snacks will be provided throughout the day.
Please bring some lunch with you.
Wear old clothes you don’t mind getting messy.
I can’t wait to meet you and support you on the next step of your upcycling journey!
